AYTI's Vision: Healing Each Other to Transform the World

Director's Welcome,

It is my great honor to offer a health professional training program that integrates two of the world's most powerful and ancient healing disciplines - Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga Therapy.

Ayurveda and Yoga encompass vast systems of healing knowledge based on an individualized understanding of each person's constitution and imbalance profile. Ayurvedic theory states that all of us (and the environments we live in) are comprised of the five elements - air, space, fire, water and earth. These elements combine in pairs to comprise the three bioenergetic systems that rule our physiology, psychology, behavioral tendencies, likes/dislikes and relationships: the doshas - vata, pitta and kapha.

According to Ayurveda, dis-ease etiology begins first in the spiritual body, then funnels into the psychoemotional body and finally  into the physiological body. Yoga's profound focus on optimizing states of consciousness and regulating the mind and senses,  extends beyond fitness through asana, and the comprehensive approach of Ayurvedic medicine provides context for applying Yogic wisdom

Ayurvedic medicine offers primary care for health promotion, disease prevention, risk reduction and treatment of chronic and acute conditions. Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, as an integrated system of care, optimizes diet, lifestyle, and daily routine. Treatments include nutrition/supplements, detoxification and rejuvenation, metabolic optimization, herbal medicine, manual therapies, movement therapy, meditation, breath work, acupressure, color, light and sound therapy. These methods build psychoemotional resilience, nurture relationships with self and others, and manage the individual/environment dynamic to heal ourselves, our families, our communities and our ecosystem.

We hope you will join our masterful and talented faculty on the educational journey of a lifetime that will transform your awareness and imbue you with powerful knowledge. Attaining Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist certification will facilitate your maximum contribution to the world and will provide you with an unshakeable sense of purpose.  Our community welcomes you!

Our Philosophy of Healing

We believe in whole-person healing and that each person is unique.  We approach each one of our clients with compassion and understanding, tailoring therapies to their needs and allowing them to choose the priorities and pacing of care.

Our Vision of Health Care

The future of health care is in prevention.

We cannot continue on the path of high-cost interventionist health care for chronic lifestyle-related diseases. Reducing diseases of despair like addiction, suicide, depression and anxiety, rely on changing how we engage with the world and pursuing maximum self-awareness.
